A Stolen Kiss

by robin milford   Jan 13, 2007

I lie awake as you sleep
I watch you as you
peacefully dream
I lean over you
kissing your forehead
while your laying still
for when you wake
you'll be bouncing of the walls
When you get tuckered out
You'll climb in my lap
and fall fast asleep
Then once again
I'll have my stolen kisses.

Whoever downvoted this is an idiot. The message is something any parent can relate to. I remember having to steal kisses from my son when he was a rambunctious little toddler! 5/5

Awwwh, I thought this was really sweet.
I loved the last line I thought it really stood out, and the first few lines really pulled me into the poem.
    Wonderful work.
