This is such a good poem. I wasn't as close to my grandma as you are to her but I know how it feels to lose someone from your family. Keep your chin up and you will get through this thing.

A heart wrenching piece that brought tears to my eyes. Death is but another step, just a transition, not truly an end. She will be with you always, in your heart. Best wishes, and blessed be.

Wow. I'm speechless right now. I went through the exact same thing. My grandmother raised me...and all that. She died in Nov., from cancer. This poem was just so touching. I don't know what to say. This was amazing! 5/5

It's so sad how time changes things...I mean when you wrote this you were trying so hard to let go and now that's the only option you have...I truly am sorry for your loss. But you did an amazing job expressing your pain.

This is such a sad poem. It is wonderfully written and flowed nicely... The reader can really feel how much your Nan means to You when reading this excellent poem.

Although the ending does not come across as overly happy, I think '... and it's ok to let go' finishes it off superbly and positively which is what I was looking for when starting my contest.
Excellent poem and congrats for getting first place on my first contest... Thanks for entering :] xx
