Strangers In Paradise

by RainbowSlider   Jan 14, 2007

Life was so perfect but wasn't it all dull.
One day much like another and no pull.
Then my eyes were open for I had a taste.
It was like everything before was a waste.

I saw you for the first time in my mind.
You were made for me; One of my kind.
In a split second everything became new.
There wasn't just me; For there was you.

Life had gained meaning; I noticed you.
You had changed; I had changed, too.
Strangers in paradise we had become.
We had erred together; Wasn't it fun.

The garden had became so very small.
We had a taste; But we wanted it all.
Innocence was gone but love replaced.
Because of our sin we became disgraced.

But I still had you; You meant much more.
What could be greater than the lady I adore?
We share a common bond; Heaven can wait.
I am just glad I knew you before it was too late.
