CLOWNS OF HOPE

by desleeds   Jan 14, 2007

Figures of clowns are icons of happiness
With smiles of pride and eyes of hope
The colors of fun that paint the face
With calmative feeling of solace and comfort
All these shield the hurts that buffet the heart

I'm like a moth to a flame
With the figures at my sight
I feel i am that of a clown
That beams a smile
With pain that wilts the heart

Not always i keep such a cheerful face
As weariness takes it toll on me
Whereas the icons of joy
Have the smile that never wanes
And the eyes that never cry

I wish i were that clown
With face of joy and laughter
Though a wailing heart in sorrow
Still a countenance of a sunbeam
Forever exudes with rays of hope in life

Dedicated to my 4 clown figurines
