Friendship to Lovers

by Jenny Sys   Jan 14, 2007

Sat through heartbreak,
As you hold me to you,
But you are my friend,
There's nothing we can do.

You hold my hand,
It feels so right,
But it kills my heart,
Each and every night.

I want to have you,
As a special friend,
But we can't do it,
In fear of end.

You've picked up on my signals,
You've been just the same,
You lay your lips on mine,
It's pleasure and pain.

I try not to think
That our friendship is breaking,
Your touch is heavenily,
But yet my heart is aching.

I sit here today
Wondering where we stand,
I want the same again,
Please take my hand.

I hope I can get over it,
So something can come,
I want more than friendship,
I want more than fun.
