Oh so Naive

by Maisie Martin   Jan 14, 2007

Lets fly to the moon
stand on the sky
get in your car
and forever drive

because the only road here
is hopelessness
it has taken some of the best

the stars are inviting tonight my dear
can't you hear them
they're loud and clear
today's the day we get out of here
run away from all our fear

my whole life
I've been trapped in this place
like a zoo animal
walks in a pace

let's run until our shoes wear down
until our bloody feet
mark the ground

the only thing I'll take from here
is my wild imagination
and naivety

It has its ups and downs....above average poem...=D
    this part stuck with me...

let's run until our shoes wear down
    until our bloody feet
    mark the ground

the ending could be better...but in general a great poem...a 5/5 from me...;)
