Perfect End

How do you end a perfect day?
A perfect day that disappeared,
Swallowed up and spat back out,
Fun laced with stress and fear,
A hug might seem to do the trick,
While itâ??s snowing all around,
Minute after minute
Of making not a sound,
A silent kiss on the cheek, perhaps,
And even tighter hugs, still,
The fire raging in the heart
Just about ready to burn and spill,
A quick kiss on the lips,
Five minutes of hugging done,
And the warmth spreading through body and veins,
Burns more than standing on the sun,
But even though the trip went by,
Iâ??ll never love him any less,
For when he asked me out last night,
Finally, I said yes.
