Touch of Tao

Shambhala 06
Meditating on a beach,
Sunken and floating in sand;
First listen...listen to everything...
Drowning in sounds; Music and sounds;
Listen to people speaking...
But realize that the meaning of those words belongs only to the breath,
And the breath belongs only to the person that breathes them;
So listen to nothing...
And in doing so, hear everything

Sitting still in time, still enough so that
Time bends to meet time
And in doing so, realize that happiness,
Past, present and future come from the same place;

Eyes open, see the space ahead;
See dancing, sweat, hair, humans and love;
But close those eyes, see nothing...
And in doing so, see the cosmos pulse and dance
Along, between, within them and all;

Just as a pot finds use by being empty,
I empty myself
And when I feel nothing, not even the breeze on my cheek or the breath escaping my lungs,
This is when I become full of the doubtless wonder,
That all things are as one.
