Two Hearts

Hearts wrenched apart
Taken from the earth
To the other they must cling
So not to be lost in the dark

Wondering where to go
Wondering what to do
The two hearts become lost
Broken and confused

thoughtlessly they float here
Silently alert
Wondering what they're waiting for
The two hearts are torn apart

The two hearts ache for the other
Longingly, day in and out
Sadly yearning deep inside themselves
Unbearable is the pain

Floating in the darkness
Aging over time
The two hearts are lost again
Drowning in darkness, while searching for light
