Believing the Mirror

by Avrii Monrielle   Jan 15, 2007

She looks in the mirror
Doesn’t like what she sees
Instead of herself
She sees an ugly beast

Too fat or too skinny
Can’t fit a point five
Her nose is too big and
She has jelly thighs

Her butt is too flat
And so are her breasts
She’d do anything to have
A much bigger chest

Her hair looks filthy
Her eyes are milky
Her nails aren’t assembled
Quite that perfectly

She has freckles and braces
Moles on her face, and
Zits to last a lifetime
That’s the way it seems

She seems to hate her body
For being what it is
And sadly, she’s only
A girl in her teens
