I wrote this in the moment, while explaining to a friend how I feel. This is it, raw.
I feel like im burning up,
like my entire body
is immersed in the fire that is my cheeks when I flush red,
feel like I've been walking through flames toward...an inferno,
towards more hurt, more pain,
all in vain, I've burned myself, immolated myself to a cause with no certain end,
no guarantee of haven from the flames
