Devil in the wrong place

by Michelle18   Jan 15, 2007

These are the words that he said,
These are the words that made her put that gun to her head.
"You're not an angel fallen from grace,
You're just a devil in the wrong place."
Every night she cried herself to sleep,
Not a night went by that she didnt weep.
Those words just repeated in her mind,
Therefore happiness was one thing she couldnt find.
Her mascara smears and runs down her face,
Because he said she was a devil in the wrong place.
She see's no reason to live any longer,
After all she's been through didnt make her any stronger.
Now blood pours down from her head to her face,
Because he said she's a devil in the wrong place.

I like this. It's quite original and different from other sad poems i've read on this site. But my favorite lines of all time is, "You're not an angel fallen from grace,
You're just a devil in the wrong place."
    Beautifully written ^^^

Very interesting. At first I thought its flow isn't good, but in the second reading, I liked it very much. The repetition of the words :"devil in the wrong place' is great, very effective, and the rhyming is good, it don't seem forced.
