Silent screams

by just*some*gurl   Jan 16, 2007

Just like a canvas, she's plastered in perfection
Awaiting for the marks, the ones her painter leaves
So carefully he places them, the crimson strokes of hate
Soon adorned by shiny tears, falling down her face

Next come the splotches, the ones that never fade
Making up his art work, the heartless painter gloats
Her silent screams are all thats heard, as terror fills her eyes
She'll wake up in the morning and plaster on her lies

You'll ask the questions, and all she does is hope
That you won't see past to, the lies behind the glass
Just like a canvas, a flawless smile she'll always wear
Daddy never hurt me, I just fell down the stairs

The gashes made late at night, were said to be with love
Maybe I'll believe you daddy, youre all that I have left
Her hero could never hurt her, that's what she tells herself
So on she goes pretending that her artist meant her well
