Falling

by Black night   Jan 16, 2007

*I found this and quite a few others in the back of my old school folder from last year, so its a bit different, however it has been edited since then*

Falling.
Falling through this black oblivion.
My life flashes before my eyes,
my childhood,
fighting vast armies
with a stick and a
dustbin lid

school,
my first day,
looking up at the giants that walked around me looking for their class
My first kiss,
an angel on the other end.

I see my friends,
their happy faces,
cheerful laughter echoing around the room.

Then I'm spinning.
Around and around.
ever downward in this black oblivion.

A door appears.
through the blackness it emerges.
It's light radiating out
bathing me completely.

I look back.

They will not miss me.

I walk toward the door
and push it open,
take one last look at my life, and turn.

Home at last.
