*I found this and quite a few others in the back of my old school folder from last year, so its a bit different*

I look around me
At this town,
this place.
These hills and valleys,
the people around me.
My friends,
my family.
I look at this world,
and all its glory.
The vast seas of green
their gentle forms rising and sinking as they go ever onward.
The oceans of trees,
no-one ever knowing what is within their depths.
I look up to the sky
and can only stand and watch the stars.
The small pinpricks of light
in the curtain of night.
How many have enjoyed that perfect kiss below these beautiful stars?
I look to the moon, his bright form shedding that twilight glow down upon me.
I turn around
and see you all there,
behind me.

Always.

I smile.

This is indeed a good place.
