Love At Last

Heartbreaks and disappointment
Burning, sweltering within
Doubts overtaking truths
Of finding a love again

More fish lie in the ocean
But none seem to catch my eye
Now thoughts swell within
"Is love worth another try?"

Am I okay if tears shall fall
And my diary's filled with pain?
Can I watch roses he gave
Wilt with calls that never came?

Then out of the blue, it rings
Who's possibly on the line?
I thought it was over, but it's not
He just needed a little time.

So my heart says give the chance
That you need to feel okay
And off I head on another
Of those wonderful second dates

As the evening progresses
And new roses fill the vase
I shout out, "LOVE AT LAST"
Has broken my lonely days!

    Awww. I loved this. It was so amazing. Very sweet & had a lot of emotion in it. I have absolutley nothing bad to say about this.. The ending was perfect, so very happy :] & The imagery was wonderful.

    ^^ That is so true for many people.. I can deffinitely relate to this. That stanza was just.. amazing.

    Oo, excellent imagery my dear. And yay, a happy ending! Love it =)
    The other poet was Cindy cos she's like an online mother to me.
    I'll get it written as soon as i can, i can't remember when the deadline was, lol
