Another Wythenshawe Day

by kimara4955   Jan 17, 2007

Early morning
and we awake
to the screaming
of noisy children
scattered down the corridors
like ants searching for food

Break/dinner
and the reluctant smell
of relief
the tortious teachers
slither around the hall
like snakes hunting their prey

clutching, clutching

comes the silence
of the evening
top the surge of doors
to gloomy east
of faded screams

night, night
we clutch out pillows
and sleep for the morning ahead

just another wythenshawe day
