Better off, without you

by MorbidCupcake   Jan 17, 2007

Maybe if I remind myself how you were to me
Itll be easier to walk away
Cuz you made me how I didnt wanna be
And made me feel like it would never be okay
I know where you are, and youre not thinking of me at all
It does matter, cuz remember, you knocked down your walls
That you had bulit on your own
All I want now is to try and leave you alone
But you make that so hard
Once you break it apart
You leave me in tears, though
I should already know

My conscience is right for once
Its telling me, you dont say what you mean
And I theres no use
In wishing to be finally seen
Youve had your turn
Its your fault it didnt work
Im better off, without you
Youre better off, without me
It wasnt right then, so dont blame me
I waited, but Im too impatient
You just arent for me

I uncovered that box of old notes
Dont pretend you dont remember
I cant beleive this is how its gonna be
Dont pretend you never said never
Everything is there
Written in black and white
But you say you dont care
And you ask why Im not alright
Im just doing the right thing
Trying to leave behind this nothing
It couldve been different
If only you wanted it

My conscience is right for once
Its telling me, you dont say what you mean
And I theres no use
In wishing to be finally seen
Youve had your turn
Its your fault it didnt work
Im better off, without you
Youre better off, without me
It wasnt right then, so dont blame me
I waited, but Im too impatient
You just arent for me

Im better off, without you
Youre better off, without me
This was how it was meant to be
