Alone

I woke up this morning
with a smile on my face
I turned over to kiss you
but there was an empty space.

I got up to look for you
but I saw a note on the mirror
Reading what you wrote
I was in terror.

You told me that you love me
and I thought it was true
You walked out of my life
leaving me behind you.

I don't know what I did wrong
maybe I didn't do something right
All I know is that you're gone
and I'm sleeping alone tonight.
