Cross My Heart

by Lady Vengeance   Jan 17, 2007

Cross my heart,
And hope to die
To you, my friend
I'd never lie

I give my word
I am sincere
When you're in need
I'm always near

Forgiveness now
I beg to pray
I've lied to you
In the worst way

I'm not right there
When you're in need
I've let you down
And let you bleed

The blood did flow
I know for sure
I let it drip
And left it raw

I tried to help
But no avail
A useless friend
Who's bound to fail

You shed your tears
And I cried too
Life's not worth living
Without you

I'll make the time
That you deserve
To laugh with you
And to subserve

Cross my heart
And hope to die
From here on, friend
We shall not cry

First Thing: The flow is perfect. I like how u coined the "Cross my heart, Hope to die" line into this poem. Very witty. The short lines and stanzas work well with the content, and the rhyme is great too.

    Keep writing, lol
