What we don't know

by Lady Vengeance   Jan 17, 2007

This day holds our fate
With a sweet satisfaction
The day of our dreams
And time of god's action

Fires of heaven
And angels of hell
The truth in our lies
Has sunk in all too well

The ripple of water
And murmur of fear
Confusion consuming
What once was held dear

Tangled Misjudgment
Forever lost souls
We sent them to heaven
But that's not their goal

The love is within us
But hate comes out best
True Heaven's on earth
If we'd just let it rest.

    Excellent rhythm!
Really well written. Your choice of vocab was spot on and you've done a brilliant job with the imagery
    Well done

It had very amazing flow to it... each line flowed to the next, as well as each stanza. Therefore it was very easy to read it. Nice juxtaposition with the hell/heaven stanza. Very much stood out :-)

Wow, I like I like. Yet again, your flow is seamless. I like the vibe this poems has, and i always like poems about society and stuff like that, when they're good. And I like this one.

    My favourite part was :
    This day holds our fate
    With a sweet satisfaction
    The day of our dreams
    And time of god's action

    I just like it. lol
