Destiny

DESTINY
12.18.06 - LL

Quiet the noise of your fears.
It's a blue, green canyon of rivers flowing from mountain's snow tops.
It's a million shattered mirrors.

You don't know me, owe me, or love me,
But you've touched me from my inner soul.

Rocks leave scars that bring us fortitude - strength,
They are beautiful and soft as a cotton cloth -
Not harsh like a nail piercing a fragile moth.

Blue comes softly with whispers falling over the sun,
Through the raindrops it slithers down your window pain,
What's done is done.

Silence is deafening;
It whispers the truth,
And pours blankets of peace on those in turmoil.

For those who learn to love and grasp life's mysteries:
It's not a simple question,
It's not a clear answer.

Destiny is clever and many lose sight.
Not all can see or feel a dream - not all do.
It's obscure. It can take flight.
Destiny is so serene.

Live it,
Dream it,
... and ponder its might.

To do is rare.
Those who can - will.
Those who can - feel fortunate and touched.

It's as if there's a string pulling us through life,
And we wonder where we're going
Where is it leading us?

Searing through the colors of the world ...
and the shades of our past,
and the smells of our future,
and the taste of our desires,

Is it here - is it there?
Will it be for me, as I've hoped it will?

I close my eyes to find the answer.
I lay my head down ...
Ignore my surroundings
Ignore the noise of the world
And the click of the time's heart.

I tap into what so many can't find -
Do we all have our own,
And not speak of it?

Am I demented to think too often -
Or simply not enough?

It doesn't matter.
Nothing can replace the visions in my mind ...
And the cries of my soul.

The river that is out there colored in green,
Flows down the mountain in an endless stream.

Will it flow to me, or remain in my dream.
I'm going for the blue. I grab the string ...
