My beautiful dog

This poem is about my beautiful dog chester..he was taken from me yesterday morning...so suddenly and i miss him so much it hurts...

You were my shoulder to cry on, when I was sad
You were the one that made me smile, when things were going bad
You always listened to me complain, everyday
And it never made you love me less, not in any way

You made me laugh when no one else could,
You loved me, when no one else would
You always wanted to play, no matter what the time
And all the fun times I shared with you, must be a crime

You were my best friend, throughout these hard years,
You were with me for the laughter, and the tears
You were a blessing upon this family, you made us complete
Always finishing off the leftovers that no one would eat

You licked away my tears, when I cried alone
You made this house feel more like a home
You were courageous, nothing brought you down
Just for being you, you deserve a crown

I loved you when I met you; I loved you through the years,
I loved you yesterday morning..I'll love you through my tears

    Oh Wow...that brought tears to my eyes! I love my dog so much....and i feel for you because i know you must have loved yours so dearly. beautiful poem, very deserving of such a wonderful companion.

    Ohhh this is such a sad poem..but i love it. the rhyming is great and its just really touching. and i can relate to it, it tore me apart when my dog died when i was 12... but its a great write again. 5/5

    *sniff sniff* this is such a sad poem honey xxx im very sorry you had to write this, you must be hurting so so much. my friends dog got put down last week and i lost a dog at work this week too so this poem really does mean a lot to me and i think you could never have done a better job.
    your words are amazing, you should be truly proud of this poem honey, i know chester would be xxx
