It's Your Turn

The unquiet manipulation in her voice,
always got straight to your heart.
Her precious words,
cut into your soul like daggers.
You loved her,
no matter the pain it caused.
She never left you before,
only put you down for her benefit.
She'd watch your pain in your eyes,
yet you'd put up that fake smile.
She fooled you,
with that fake sympathy.
Her strings were like,
a rope around your neck.
Your ears were filled with lies,
of things getting better.
She pushed you down,
yet you always smiled.
You had such strong feelings,
you couldn't just let go.
Her grip on you was so tight,
it wouldn't loosen.
You took all those daggered words,
and stabbed them into her heart.
You did it with that smile,
that always fooled her.
As you whispered,
"I always loved you no matter what.
Now it's your turn,
to bleed for me."
