Stop. Watch.

by Matter Of Fact   Jan 19, 2007

The clock I watch has stopped now
In fact it never ticked
I can't believe it's him you picked
This feeling makes me sick

It's been too long now without you
And times abandoned me
Stuck inside this memory
Just longing to be free

And every time I speak to you
I forget my scripted lines
Become as vocal as a mime
Trapped in a box, frozen in time

And as everyone will tell you knows
The pain helps us to grow
They say that time will heal all wounds
But I get none from you

One second is all I'm asking for
Just listen to me please!
I need to hear you don't love me
I'm sick of living on my knees

Nothing now is set in stone
Are the words you said to me
I do not want to be with you
But I just cannot be alone

And so it is I'll walk away
There's nothing left to say
I'll just relive all those memories
Knowing that I'm free
