Insanity

by SilentRebuke   Jan 19, 2007

Fog is descending all around me
Or could I be ascending to it
My vision has been obscured, I canâ??t
Even see my heart when it is â??litâ??
This defiled thought has seeped throughout
Tainting me and my every action
It seems as though between heart and mind
A rift has spread, causing a faction.

Confusion has made me unaware
Of which way I am supposed to turn
I cannot see exactly what for
I have suddenly begun to yearn
I am starting to fear that this will
Begin to shred at my sanity
Doubt must be procured to whether this
Can truly be named as vanity

Sitting perched on my knees, I can see
Small pieces of myself strewn about
Soon I must be allowed to conquer
Gain victory on this warring bout
I have to question, I have to ask
But I donâ??t know how so I wonder
When will I dare confront my feelings
Before you have taken your plunder?

I'm supposed to give you three comments because of coming in third in my contest but I've commented on all but two, lol.
But this poem truly is amazing. Once again I just love your style! It's so unique and knowing you, it fits you perfectly. You are so much deeper than I could ever hope to be. Amazing job, especially the last stanza. :)

Awesome you did really well at conveying the confusion idea during stanza 2, great description makes it really easy to understand.
Love it, I think quite a few people can relate to exactly what this poem's saying.

Thanks for commenting on my poem.
