Fire

by SilentRebuke   Jan 19, 2007

Fire
Licking up the curtains,
The spark will consume all.
But kept within the hearth,
None of its foes shall fall.
You see others burning,
So you want to let yours out.
Don't you see what happens,
When it's free to run about?
Many things are destroyed,
In fact, all things in sight,
Are drawn in by its glow.
No matter how they fight.
So please won't you listen,
As I voice one request.
Do not think you're immune,
Or safe beyond the rest.
Keep your heat in its place.
Leave it where it's contained.
For if you play with fllame,
You're bound to become pained.

*Fire is a parody to lust or passion*
This one a friend wanted me to write, we're both pyro's

I was there when you wrote this...it was very funny to see you come up with new ways to describe your obsession with fire, lol.

    So please won't you listen,
    As I voice one request.
    Do not think you're immune,
    Or safe beyond the rest.

I LOVED that stanza...great job and keep it up! :)
