Haiku Sets

by Ravi   Jan 19, 2007

The Wait:
Withered time passes
Light ray kisses the nose -
Seeking love's arrival

Longing:
Fingers glide along the table
Silken hair caresses the cheek;
Waiting for tender kisses

Love's a sleeping pill:
Pillow is wet with tears
Dreams are far, sheep count millions tonight -
Love eases me to sleep

Love calls:
Drag my feet on couch
Shades of Purple dawn on grey sky -
A call brings me a smile

Pain is sweet:
Unbearable is a life painless
Without love; I long an unbearable pain
When love kills me softly

A haiku is nature, these would be senryu's.
But nicely done all the same. Some nice imagery

(In answer to your comment, the poem was written for him to give to him and babes is a personal word and the flow is messed up without it anyway, so it's staying put. =)
