Waiting in the shadows
Time creeps by
With dawn still a long ways off
He thinks of her

They had spent months happy
A content, simple life
Nothing had ever had the power
To force them apart

But because of her separate world
The one he could
Never really be a part of
She walked away slowly

Devastatingly lost
With no where to reach
He slowly became detached
From everything that used to be

But still
Something pulled him back
A prospect that not all was lost
