Waterfall of loneliness

by Yazdan   Jan 20, 2007

Sitting at the base
Of a tall waterfall
Feeling the spray
Not thinking at all
The water is cold
It chills him to the bone
But not as much
As being alone
The man gets up
And sits down under
The torrent of water
Violent like thunder
The water bites
His delicate skin
As he attempts to cleanse
The pain within
He squints as the water
Causes excruciating pain
He cries as the thoughts
Re-surface again
He moves further in
The water becomes stone
His back begins bleeding
He's still all alone
He screams to the heavens
He begs for atonement
But nothing will stop
The pains cruel descent
The man falls over
The water pounds his head
The man slowly drowns
The man is now dead
He has a smile on his face
As his body drifts along
Life didn't welcome him
Death is where he belong
