Uncle Dan

by shaneeka   Jan 20, 2007

Uncle Dan was here laughing with us a minute ago,
Then we had to let him go,
his last whisper, his last sight,
when it happened we thought about him every night.

I know now that God hand
showed him the way to heaven,
he lived his life on the straight and narrow path and,
even though i was just eleven
i fell to my knees, ask God to bring him back please,
but now i realize it was his time to go.

Now every-time i look to the sky,
i feel the wind from the trees
i hear little voice saying Am Ok I'm up here when your down I'll always be there'. Knowing one day i will be with him again to have a laugh, a hug, a kiss these things i really do miss.

But for now goodnight Uncle Dan and may your soul rest in peace.
