Hate

My mother hates my attitude,
My father hates my clothes,
My sister hates the way I talk
And the nail polish I chose,
My best friend hates my boyfriend,
And vice-versa, at that,
My ferret hates my goldfish,
And my puppy hates my cat,
Our nation hates the president,
And the world hates the U.S.A.,
And if anything bad should happen to us,
We blame technology,
In this world, there is so much hate,
Oh yes, I do agree,
But aren't you happy, then, to know,
There's still love for you and me.
