You Were Right

by Jessica   Jan 21, 2007

Never in my life,
Did I fight with all that might.
You looked in my eyes,
Like I was going to die.

The war was long and cold,
We were fighting for something better then gold.
You knew it was wrong,
To fight like that for so long.

I couldn't keep a hold,
I had to die alone.
I will miss my lonely life,
But I least I fought with all my might.

You were there by my side,
On that time when I died.
You were right,
I was headed for that light.

The war will never end,
And the wounds will never mend.
The war will never reach the dock,
And their clock will never reach that last tock.

The war will never see its death,
It will never breath its last breathe.
Only the fighting solders will die,
Thats what you saw with your eyes.
