when the night dawns
&& streets are empty
dreams call your name
into this peaceful place
but the mist comes
&& carries the pain
where the children run
&& scream your name
they have hold
&& will not let go
follow the footsteps
in the children of the mist
live their story retold
their undying secret
you now hold
eyes darkened
by a fairytale gone wrong
their life shattered,
little pieces on the floor
mom comes home,
&& brings them fright
can't understand why she hates them so much
she has brought it back again
the pain...
she blames them for dad leaving
all over again
