As I stand on my hill

by -Immortal.Soul-   Jan 21, 2007

As I stand on the hill,
My feet Begin grow roots,
They grow deep deep down,
Grounding me for all to see.

As I stand on the hill,
For all to see,
The wind in my hair,
My roots from my feet keeping me grounded.

As I stand on the hill,
Clouds float above me,
Sun shines on me
And I become stronger.

As I stand on the hill,
Night surrounds me,
Bats land on me digging pain into my branches,
But I know I am strong and shake it all off..

As I stand on the hill,
I am my own,
Grounded for all to see,
Never to be moved.

Powerful and moving, I envy your strength.
    but I wonder,
what will you do come winter?
