The Pain of Waiting Love

by Cassie Morris   Apr 1, 2004

This pain aches me all over,
The pain of not having you near.
Makes me doubtful and cautious,
Makes me cry so many tears.

Why must we be separated?
Why must we be forced to weep?
Why must we feel this pain
That haunts us in our sleep?

It hurts me so bad
Just to think about it.
Oh why wont this pain
Just subside and quit?!

My heart is bleeding for you.
Hurting me so bad I cant see.
But I just cant give in.
I will make them believe me!

I'm sick and tired
Of these bonds and straps,
Keeping me from you
I'm ready to snap!

My love for you
Grows higher and higher.
Like the blazing heat
From a raging fire.

It keeps getting bigger
I'm just about to break.
Longing for you so bad
My body begins to quake.

Thats it! No more!
I've had enough!
I'm cutting lose
And calling their bluff!

I love you too much
To ever let you go.
And when I'm done and gone
They will know.

Only to you am I true
Only you can see,
How we fit so well together,
How we're meant to be.

I know we'll be together,
Somehow, someday soon.
And until that fateful day,
I'll forever dream of you.

And so, my darling,
My love to you, I give.
For that is the only way
I see how to live. . .

*For you my love, Adam, forever and always.*
