This has so much.....the last part has the knockout punch.....I have held the hand of my dying friend.....so I relate to this.....we live and die every second... suck everything out of your life... cos it goes sooo quick...

Your smile paints a picture, for everyone else to see,
On the outside it appears, you are as happy as can be.
The truth is you hide a secret, a depression deep within,
All the things you've witnessed and the places you have been.

I understand how it hurts to feel for the patients we care for. Hard to keep back the tears sometimes. Very expressive write full of true emotions!

Rachel, i can relate to certain parts of this poem at the moment and i just want to tell you how true this all is.
