Thank You

by Willow   Jan 22, 2007

You taught me to see the positive side of life,
And the importance of thinking ahead.
You taught me to look to myself for help,
And to respect things all living and dead.

You taught me to write instead of cut,
And to cry when the time was right.
You taught me to love the feral birds,
And to wish on the first star i see at night.

You taught me to make the best of a horrible time,
And to believe what the guardians say.
You taught me to look past the hurt,
And to choose the happy way.

You taught me to smile through the pain,
And to remember perfection is a wish waiting to come true.
You taught me to always shine,
And to cherish friends as special as you.

I have one thing left to say,
And something i forgot to so.
That is to give you a hug,
And say THANK YOU.

I can never write a poem about friendship to my liking...although this personifies all that I strive to incorporate into my attempts. very good, definitely 5/5 from me. keep it up
