My fairytale

by fvalconbridge   Jan 22, 2007

In a distant land of nowhere,
That is as near as it is far,
An ancient race of being live,
They dance inside the stars.
They are born from summer tulips
And die in the spring
Bringing in life as they go
So fledglings sprout new wings.
Now little as they may be,
They have the power of the sun,
The moon is their teacher,
The earth a playground in their fun,
For every life they save,
They live another year,
Portrayed though all wisdom,
Killing peoples fears,
They are protectors of the Earth,
Dancing in the light,
They whisper secrets in the dark.
They fly the Earth at night.
Patrolling through the cities,
A fairytale comes true,
As fairies grant a single wish,
My wish was to meet you.
