Pretend Friend

Why do people pretend to be friends?
They tell you and make you believe they care and in the end,
They turn their back on you and talk crap,
But forget it, true friends don't pretend,
They're there to the end.
You know you have true friend
When they stick with you no matter what,
When they really got your back
Even when a guy or girl they fall for
Tells them to break the bond with you.
I know it sounds scary, but there are "friends" that actually break the bond,
Just to have a chance with the one they "love"
I really think that's wrong.
They just don't know how much they hurt us
'Cause they just care about themselves,
But I don't get it,
In the beginning they tell you,
"I'm here for you" and "I really care so much about you"
But how can that be when they turn their back on you
Just because of the other person?
I say they just shouldn't say things they'll later go against.
Again, I had really thought I had found my best friend
But it turns out that person isn't the one I met
All because of one girl
So all I gotta do is let hime be
Later on he'll be hurt,
Eventhough I don't want that to happen,
But who is he gonna go to if he does?
