Sailing threw the beats of our hearts we sailed along as the sun set at five. the distance we bared was all to much for our tiny ship. swam with all our might but lost it all on the first lap. swearing to my self once more never shall i sail no more.. i took a drive on that flat dry land and filled my car, with tears as my tank ran dry. teary eyed i saw the sun as it rose half past 9. i thought of the day when it shall be bright to wake me up, at quarter to five. the days were life is long and easy, instead of these mixed up afternoons and cold long nights. staring in my rear view mirror i see no one there. with a jerk of my wheel its a north Battleford turn around. on that flat highway home, i see the sun shine way up high knowing those days i crave are near.. i feel alright and set free a fear of sailing. |
