Summer Haze

by Wings Of An Angel   Jan 22, 2007

Threads of my desire
Unravel against my skin.
Unintentional tears cascade down my cheek,
They roll incoherently into
A sea of confusion.
The cloak of my embarrassed affections
Traces my clumsy figure
As I wait...and
I lie lucid in the echo of your footsteps
A prisoner to the droning of my memory.
Your gleaming razor smile
Cuts thin slashes in my paper sanity.
You leave me torn in ragged pieces
With sharp words my only condolence,
and my thoughts float
Along tainted visions of you
In a lazy summer haze.
