Afllicted heart

by Meagan   Jan 23, 2007

Afflicted heart from the wounds doth break,
Take thee away from the sadness thou make.
Confusion and heartache words cant explain,
Wrapped up in thresholds of emotional pain.
Just holding the stem which joy contains,
And withered buds is what remains.
Thoughts of hope swimming in thy mind,
As if hope will come to open good kind;
With love and beauty and elated bliss,
Twinkling in the light of a thing I miss.
Only seeing the sorrow upon todays hand,
And watching the warmth slip away like sand.
But tomorrow comes like the flower in May,
Blooming from rain on a newly found day.
