The Sickness

by Godofpain   Jan 23, 2007

They say that I'm crazy, they call me insane,
The sickness has plagued a part of my brain,
Irrational thoughts infest my mind,
Killing the light that I once tried to find,
A river of blood, or an ocean of tears,
The sickness extracts the worst of your fears,
It spawns from the hatred that eats at your soul,
My love is what the darkness stole,
Now I am blind and can no longer see,
The demons are laughing and torturing me,
Unable to locate the light I desire,
My body is cold, yet my soul is on fire,
And once you are infected, it never goes away,
Once you have the sickness, the sickness is here to stay

Nice. i think you are very aware of your issues. to be able to recognize the demons is so important in order to exorcise them. you're very good. i relate well to this one. 5/5

This is a very painful poem! And just for the record, this doesn't sound like you're crazy at all. At least not in my opinion. PEACE AND LOVE!
