Used To Be Her

by Lyndsay Kalyta   Jan 24, 2007

She looks just like an angel
She's beauty in every way
Her voice sings in a sweet melody
With every word she says

She wakes up and she's perfect
No make-up needed at all
She has no need to cover up
Because she has no flaws

She puts on her loose fitting jeans
A super model in no disguise
I can see you're in love with her
Everytime you get lost in her eyes

She laughs because you're funny
I know, because I used to be her
But now you look right through me
I'm all just one small blur

I watch you as you kiss her
So gentle it's almost unreal
I bite my lip as I hold back a tear
Trying hard to ignore how I feel

The rush I used to get with you
All came flooding back today
You swept me off my feet
And took me to a place far away

Now she's in that magical world
Getting your love that she deserves
And I'm crying myself to sleep at night
Because I used to be her
