One of the Same

by The Queen of Spades   Jan 26, 2007

I'm black, you're white
You're dark, I'm bright
I'm young, you're old
You're safe, I'm bold
Yet we are one of the same

I'm rich, you're poor
You're blessed, I'm bored
I'm deaf, you're blind
You're harsh, I'm kind
Yet we are one of the same

I'm warm, you're cold
You're kept, I'm told
I touch, you see
You chain, I free
Yet we are one of the same

And though we seem so different
We all feel the same pain
The joy, the burdens, the world
For we are one of the same

I think that this one was a stretch on your abilities as a writer. this one didnt flow like the other ones. it didnt feel like it came from your heart. in the third stanza the rhyme scheme was stretched cause u felt like you needed to rhyme so u chose ur words poorly in my opinion. I'll give this one a 4/5
