She Didn't

by Lyndsay Kalyta   Jan 26, 2007

She didn't mean to beg for him
To come back to her at all
She's feeling mighty strong now,
Like she's ten feet tall

She didn't ask him for money
She's taking care of her baby fine
She doesn't want him to touch her,
Doesn't want him to call her "mine"

She didn't want to live with him
So when he left her, she felt relieved
She never told anyone about the bruises
She tried real hard not to believe

She didn't want to argue all day
And be abused all night
She never wants to see him again
Because for once she feels alright

She didn't need to be with him
Without him, she can easily survive
The only thing she wanted, though,
Was for him to treat her like she was alive
