Lost in War

by omen   Jan 26, 2007

Sad to say
You've lost in war
Your only son
Who you adore
No one can ever
Tell you what you'll loose
But now you have
A choice to choose
You can stay
Awhile
Here you can
Reconcile
Your pain
Or hide it away
Will you stand there
Another day?

Get off the grave
He's gone to stay
He'll be with you
In every way

He doesn't blame you
For what you've done
Your ties are much
Stronger than blood
For blood fades
That's what fighting's for
But there he went
And got lost in war

Useless bloodshed
In the empty night
Intensifies the pain
We feel in our plight
But we have no use
But to, soldier on
Who will sing our glory
When we're all gone

Get off the grave
I've gone to stay
I'll always be with you
In every way

I didn't really get the begining...But that was just me and I got it later on in the poem. I really liked the last part...I give you a 5/5 even though I ddn't understand the top because I think it was over all a really good write... and I got what it meant in about the middle...

Wow. i loved this poem! it was amazing, and the topic was wonderful. i felt that the story was great too! the only thing is this line:

    A choice to choose

is a little redundant. other than that...great! 5/5
