The Night We Fell In Love

I remember the night we met like it was just yesterday.
When we locked eyes, my world aroused a new life.
It was the moment my heart waited for a while.
And in a New York minute it beat faster every time.

I never felt so alive before I saw your freckled face.
It was love at first sight and I knew it right then and there.
It was such an engaging experience I can't forget.
And I'll never doubt that the love was true and rare.

The night was still young and we had a lot to tell.
You told me that you're glad you came here tonight.
I respond with "I'm happy you did too." with a smile.
And I knew you're the one when love felt right.

To this day we're still together stronger as we go on.
I still remember the night I first saw your face.
Even though it was long ago almost a year.
And when I'm in your arms, it takes me back to that place.

The place we met for the first time.
Where we knew we'd be together soon enough.
I like to go there sometimes by myself.
And think about that night, when we first fell in love.
