True Liberty

by Sierra   Jan 27, 2007

Now how do you start a poem that cannot have an end?
how do you find a soul with no fault, not a crooked bend?
where do find a book, with so much hope and love to save a life?
a book where there is no hatred, no anger and no strife?
who will wipe away your tears, or hear you when you call?
who will comfort you, and catch you when you fall?
who will answer these questions that in reality have no answer?
who will tell you that you're special, and love you forever?
these questions that I've written, i asked myself not long ago.
i could not tell the difference between a friend and a foe.
i walked in darkness night and day.
until i heard my Saviour say:
"I have the answers to your questions.
I love you, with the deepest affection.
never will i leave you, not for a moment , not for a second.
I took your place up on that tree,
so you could be eternally free.
now come on daughter, walk with me.
and i will show you true liberty."
